The garbha-gṛha built over the cell of Vasudeva and Devakī; Janmāṣṭamī here is celebrated through the whole night.

Temples have stood and fallen here since the Gupta era; the present Keshav Dev complex was built in the 1950s by the Birlas and Jugal Kishore Birla trust.
