Kāleśvara and Mukteśvara share a single panavaṭṭam — found nowhere else — at the confluence of the Godāvarī, Prāṇahita and the mythical Antarvāhini.

A Chalukyan-era shrine, counted as the first gate of the Trilinga (Telangana) land along with Srisailam and Draksharama.
