⭐ Why it is famous
During Rāhu Kāla abhiṣeka the white milk poured over Rāhu visibly turns blue, watched by hundreds each day. The foremost place for Kāla Sarpa and Rāhu doṣa remedies alongside Srikalahasti.
📜 Pilgrimage history
Ādiśeṣa, Dakṣa and Karkoṭaka are all said to have worshipped the liṅga here, giving the town its name. The temple is a Tevaram sthala with major Chola and Nayak building phases.
