⭐ Why it is famous
The Chandra sthala of the nine, where those with an afflicted Moon — anxiety, sleeplessness, unsettled mind — offer white cloth, rice and pearls.
📜 Pilgrimage history
Associated with the Nāyanmār Appūthi Adigal, whose son, bitten by a snake, was revived here by Tirunāvukkarasar. The Chola-period structure carries later Nayak additions.
