Seven concentric walls, 21 gopurams including the 72 m Rājagopuram — the tallest in Asia — and the foremost of the 108 Divya Deśams.
📜 Pilgrimage history
Inscriptions from the Cholas onward; Rāmānuja lived and taught here in the 11th–12th centuries and his preserved body is enshrined in the complex.
