Why it is famous

The black-marble Śrīnāthjī brought from Braj in 1672, served like a living king through eight daily darśans and pichhwai art.

📜 Pilgrimage history

The mūrti was moved from Govardhan to escape Aurangzeb; the cart is said to have sunk here, and Rana Raj Singh of Mewar built the haveli-temple.
