Why it is famous

A UNESCO World Heritage temple conceived as Sūrya's chariot with 24 carved wheels and seven horses.

📜 Pilgrimage history

Built about 1250 CE by Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty; the main deul collapsed centuries ago, leaving the jagamohana.
