Budha Deula
A rare twin-linga shrine in Old Town carrying the graha name Budha.
⭐ Why it is famous
Budha Deula, in Badu Sahi of Old Town Bhubaneswar, is unusual for enshrining two large Shiva lingas together with four smaller ones, all recovered from the Bindusagar tank. Its name ties it directly to Budha, the planet Mercury, making it the anchor for this leg.
📜 Pilgrimage history
The temple is one of several graha-named shrines clustered in Bhubaneswar's Old Town, a locality that has functioned as a living temple town since the Kalinga period, with continuous small-scale worship even as larger monuments nearby drew wider fame.
