Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva Temple, on the banks of the Periyar near Kalady, is a well-known Shiva–Parvati temple; it is not a dedicated Budha shrine, but it is the temple popularly visited for this leg in local Navagraha circuit practice, partly for its proximity to Adi Shankara's birthplace at Kalady.
