Twin sanctums for Hoysaleśvara and Śāntaleśvara, and horizontal bands of elephants, lions, horsemen and epic scenes around the whole base.

Begun in 1121 CE at the Hoysala capital Dwārasamudra; left unfinished after the Delhi Sultanate raids of 1311 and 1327.
