⭐ Why it is famous
A Jyotirliṅga and Śakti Pīṭha together, reached each Śrāvaṇa by millions of kāṅvariyās walking 105 km from Sultanganj with Ganga water.
📜 Pilgrimage history
Legend ties the liṅga to Rāvaṇa's attempt to carry it to Lanka; the present cluster of 22 shrines is largely of the 16th century onward.
