⭐ Why it is famous
Kṛṣṇa's own city and one of Śaṅkarācārya's four dhāms, its 78 m five-storey spire flying a flag changed five times a day.
📜 Pilgrimage history
Tradition credits the first shrine to Kṛṣṇa's great-grandson Vajranābha; the present structure is largely 15th–16th century on older foundations.
