The kuladevatā of many Goud Saraswat families, known for its Portuguese-influenced white architecture and dīpastambha.
📜 Pilgrimage history
The liṅga was moved from Kushasthali (Cortalim) to Priol in the 16th century to escape Portuguese iconoclasm; the present temple dates to 1744.
